Specimen Description
2304005 Over 50 pieces in this lot, ranging from micros through to large lumps. The biggest ones are quite heavy, being composed of mainly covellite.
The majority of the specimens have rosasite on them, but you can also find smithsonite, cerussite, quartz, spessartine, malachite and of course, covellite. They come from the bottom of the Kintore Open Cut, in the supergene enrichment zone.
The closeup photo is of the edge of one specimen, and shows rosasite on quartz crystals, with the obligatory spessartine garnet. Width of view is 11.5mm. You can see judge the size of the other specimens based on the ruler at the bottom of the photo.
